Abbott RealTime CMV Kits for in vitro detection of cytomegalovirus (CMV) DNA by real-time polymerase chain reaction are available. See Appendix on 1 page for details.

Kits include:

1. Amplification Reagent Kit (Abbott RealTime CMV Amplification Reagent Kit):
   • Internal Control (Abbott RealTime CMV Internal Control) - < 0.01% linear plasmid DNA in buffer solution, 0.53 mL, 4 tubes
   • Amplification Reagents (Abbott RealTime CMV Amplification Reagent Pack) - 4 packs, 1 pack for 24 tests:
     • DNA Polymerase (5.4 to 5.9 units/µL) in buffer solution - 0.07 mL, 1 tube
     • CMV Amplification Reagent - <0.1% synthetic oligonucleotides (6 primers, 3 probes) and <0.8% dNTPs in buffer solution - 0.6 mL, 1 tube
     • Activation Reagent - 0.778 mL, 1 tube
2. Control Kit (Abbott RealTime CMV Control Kit):
   • Negative Control (Abbott RealTime CMV Negative Control) - 0.9 mL, 8 tubes
   • Positive Control (Abbott RealTime CMV Positive Control) - 0.9 mL, 8 tubes
3. Calibrator Kit (Abbott RealTime CMV Calibrator Kit):
